General Description:
A member of the squash family, the zucchini or courgette has a soft edible surrounding a tender flesh containing seeds.
Range in size from about 6-15 cm.
Generally most zucchini have a light and delicate flavour.
Baby courgettes have a sweeter flavour.
Selection:
Look for firm zucchini with smooth unblemished skins and a bright colour.
Larger zucchini usually have tougher skins.
