Originated approx 1935 by chance from Donnybrook, Western Australia.
Skin is bright pink-red with striping over most of the surface.
A crisp texture and flavour if grown correctly.

Choose apples that are brightly coloured, firm, and free of bruises or damaged skin.
If the flesh gives under pressure, the apple will be soft.
