Variety Description:
Also known as Cripps Pink - named after plant breeder John Cripps.
Variety originated from Manjimup in Western Australia.
Skin is pink-red with yellow base colour, no russet, tender and thin.
Flesh is firm, dense and crisp, providing excellent juice and flavour.
Ideal for deserts and can be used for baking.
Selection:
Choose apples that are brightly coloured, firm, and free of bruises or damaged skin.
If the flesh gives under pressure, the apple will be soft.
