Beetroot - Baby
Variety Description:

Smaller version of the common beetroot.
Usually 3.5 - 5 cm in diameter.
As they get larger they grow a tough, woody centre.

Selection:

Avoid large baby beets or those with very hairy taproots.
Look for baby beets having bright green leaves that look fresh.
The beets should be small and firm with a deep red colour and unblemished skin.
Avoid baby beets that have had their leaves removed or have scales or spots.
